Week 8, Thursday: April 1

I think the past 12-13 months have already had enough surprises for a lifetime, so I'm not at all tempted to play an April Fool's joke on you. No tricks from me! (But be on the lookout for others!)

Note that Friday is a class-free day!

Schedule for today

2-3 PM: Get Stuff Done Club: drop by with any questions you have, or just to say hi to me or other students in my courses. This is the equivalent of office hours/drop-in tutorials, your exclusive access to me. No appointment needed. Breakout rooms available, including quiet study space!

For HST271, our DLA Rachel will be available to help you with all your technical queries.

Find the link on the SECRETS page on your Canvas course - this semester there is only one link for all the meetings.

  • Zoom session: 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM, link on Canvas SECRETS page
  • View the materials in the basic set, leave comments/questions on the slides, and bring your thoughts about the two competing views for China's future from the 1920s and 30s (Nationalist and Communist) (all details on the course website under Week 8). I KNOW this is a messy period
  • Blog post for week 8  is due at midnight. Don't forget to collect your points with the Canvas quiz (declaration).
  • Zoom session: 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM: link on Canvas SECRETS page
  • Bring all your questions about peer reviews, and I can share additional general comments about the writing process that I have based on what I observed in the drafts. (If you would like those)

Activities for the Muhlenberg Community

6-7PM: Chinese table, topic is "pets (宠物)". DM me for the Zoom link

Fun stuff
